New Shakespeare Food

Our annual trek to the Idaho Shakespeare Festival has changed with our new homemade/homegrown eating.  Over the years we developed "traditional" Shakespeare food that we always took for our picnic dinner, and it was all store-bought.  That had to change, but we didn't want the kids to think they were suffering.

I think they'll be happy.  We're taking pizza with our homemade pepperonis and cheese, salad, and chocolate pudding cake with a healthy layer of caramel on top.  Caramel is so easy to make.  By pouring a little bit into cold water it's easy to test if it's reached the right consistency.  This looks just about right.

Tonight we are seeing The Complete Works of Shakespeare Abridged.  We've seen it before and loved it.

They do such an amazing job at the Idaho Shakespeare Festival. We've been going every year for about ten years and taking all the kids.  They love Shakespeare because they've seen it done so well.

We're milking before we go, so it's time to head out, get Christina milked and begin the evening...
